This is a forge set-up I have made out in the wooded area around where I am.
Everything but the actual forge itself has to be transported to and from the area in order to use it.
I don't intend on leaving anything but the coal, the brick, the clay, etc out there.
The big sheet of corrugated steel was found out in the woods there and I incorporated it into my forge. It's basically to keep the rain out of of it and it's been doing a good job of that. I normally shift it off to the side, because it actually just pushes all the of the coal smoke right into my face if I don't move it.
Fuel used as stated is coal, but coke is also used as long as it is made in the forge through a coking process.
This entire set-up works very nicely for what I need it to and I might add on to it in the future.
Don't worry about the amount of leaves in the area. I usually sweep them away, but they were too wet to even care about in regards to fire hazard. A coal fire is pretty heavy and doesn't tend to fly about and pose a risk.
