The diamond shape became way too fabulous after meeting this fabulous man XD
Must admit that Ghirahim is an interesting antagonist with such personality, kinda like the direction they took with him in Skyward Sword : D

Well I wouldn´t said Ghirahim´s roll was a waste : ^ Since this game is about the very origin of everything, of Hyrule and the descendands of the Triforces´wielders, you may ask from the beginning who might be Ghirahim. At first you would though as a servant of the darkness who wanted to unlock the seal tu resurrect Demise. But the plot twist about him is that he was actually the manifestation of Demise´s sword trying to reach to his master, just like Fi is the manifestation within the Master Sword waiting for her master to fullfill the role.
The idea that Ghirahim has been always the sword like Fi is almost impressive considering that something like that is strong enough to put Link and Zelda into such trouble.
Something that in Zelda I kinda have trouble with is that they don´t give enough antagonism to Ganondorf until the very end. Like for example In Ocarina and Wind Waker, you get to encounter him some moments through the story and you get to feel the enmity between Link and Ganondorf, making the final battle more intense. But in games like Skyward sword, Link to the Past and Twilight Princess, they literally first meet each other at the very ending of the game.
So yeah, consider Ghirahim as an antagonist who was used by the final boss XD just like Skull Kid, Zant and etc XD He didn´t do any wrong in my opinion XD
PS: sorry for my long geeky observation with zelda´s topic XDDD
