I use ACEO's as an excuse to practice new stuff. I am on this learn watercolor kick right now and. Well, as far as experiments go, this one kinda fell flat due to my ineptness with the medium. The inking was fairly solid, done with old fashioned crow quill and bottle of ink, which I spilled all over the carpet.
However, I did learn a lot! My next poor victim in the ACEO Furs Exchange will also suffer my learning curve.
For Konsi Wagner, may you forgive me.
Done in ink, watercolor, and colored pencil on Stonehenge paper.

Lovely piece of work. Would you be willing to answer a question or two? What is ACEO? And I have an interesting in doing drawings in the style of the crow pen and the like, what would you suggest for resources learning that type of thing? I appreciate any answers you can give. And again, awesome art piece. :-D
ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals. They are the size of a regular trading card.
As for the inking, I am learning as I go for the most part, but I did read Arthur Guptill's book: http://www.amazon.com/Rendering-Pen.....191&sr=1-1

The size of a trading card? *whistles* Honestly, I would imagine that's extremely difficult, especially if you're used to working on regular sized drawing paper. It's impressive though that you can do it.
And thank you for the book recommendation. I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it once I have the resources to get it. Thanks again.
