Weapon of Choice - WIP 2
Did some revisions to this sketch.... I think the revisions have improved it a lot, thank you for your suggestions..
Stuff I changed:
- angled the head a slight bit differently, by shortening the muzzle, moving the left ear and back of head/neck
-raised the right shoulder
-changed the hands' positions and aligned the left hand better with the grip of the gun (i made sure the position of the arms/hands is one thats not difficult for me, and its not)
- added tactical thigh holsters that attach to belt (the holsters are open at the bottom so the barrel would stick through
-de-emphasized the crotch mound a bit
-redesigned the 'tail hole' in the pants to make the strap more visible and user-friendly
and added other bits and pieces here and there.
I think I am probably ready to proceed with this one, but I'm open for comments in case there is something else I've missed...

looks good. i really like the angles in general, but especially the tail. the right buttock seems a little small but it's probably the angle and might look fine with the right shading i don't know. my main issue would be that the guns seem a tad flat compared to the angles of the hands, but i can see why thats tough to get right.
Heavy duty holsters for heavy duty guns. The only thing I can find now is one minor detail with the knuckle glove on her left hand. I see you repositioned the knuckles, but the open area is still a little high, omplying anle angle. Inch it just a little to the right.
Just a thought, but maybe find a way to add or imply some spare ammo? An ammo belt would look rediculous on her for sure. Especially with the new holsters I think the small of her back is just screaming for an accesory. After all, she only has 12 shots without spare (though I suppose she should only need 1 ) Just a thought.
Man, I can imagine her riding into town on a crotch rocket (no sexual pun intended I swear) and strolling wherever she wanted like she owned the place, everyone getting out of her way. Kinda strikes me as something of a bounty hunter actually, or perhaps a vigilante. Tracking down the most dangerous individuals and dealing with them one way or another. I can't wait to see this colored.

the Python with an 8" barrel is a pussycat. The recoil is perfectly manageable for someone with decent wrist muscles. Just last weekend, I one-handed a 20" barreled pistol-grip shotgun, just showing off. My wrists are fine. Compare http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2520338/ , my 8-3/8" barreled .44. Recoil is significantly reduced by the barrel weight, compared to my old 2" barreled Astra Terminator in .44 magnum. Firing that thing was like being struck in the hand with a softball bat.
mmmm guns :)
might be kinda late/I dunno if u want to put in the extra work, I think if u change the angle/roll of the gun on the left of the picture it would add a little extra realism and depth to the gun. What I mean by roll/angle I guess its like twisting the top part of the gun away from the viewer just a bit(would see a bit more of the underside) or more technically rolling along the y and z plane if the side of the gun showing is x and y accordingly.

The only thing I can suggest is careful consideration of how high she'd have to lift those pistol handles to clear her holsters. If they're just for carrying and she doesn't need to ever draw quickly (as opposed to quick-draw), it's not as important.
(I understand there are holsters that open along one side when you draw.)

Looks like we have a bunch of connoisseurs here who wouldn't dream of making a reference to what is obviously a different firearm -- 150 comments on the two WIPs, and not one Dirty Harry riff.
Along with the obviously knowledgeable commenters here, Karno would probably also have some ideas on ways and means -- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3772640 .

Looking good Kacey! Only thing I have to suggest is moving the rollmarks so that they're centered on the barrel (that is so that there's an equal amount of empty space at the beginning and end of the stamp)

Gah, now a reason I wish I were going to the con... I'd definitely have to be bidding on this one!
Looks great so far, though I can see what was being said about the left revolver positioning. If it were rolled slightly forward along the axis of her arm, it might look a little more relaxed, but it doesn't look bad as it is.
Using the holsters as a fashion statement in the pic, these work. I'd hate to be wearing these revolvers in those holsters in real life though, as ones that fit in their holster are bad enough at beating your legs up on a long day in the field!
Is there any chance that there will be prints of any of these pieces available, possibly after the con?

Those drop leg holsters are far too low. Walking would be a pain in the ass; running would be impossible. The top straps basically need to be riding as high up into the character's crotch as possible. If they're that low, the holsters will basically wobble everywhere with each step. I'd also recommend you switch them over to something made of Kydex that doesn't use a retention strap that uses a buckle. Google Safariland 6004 or Blade Tech WRS Tactical Thigh Rig for a couple of decent ones along those lines that you could use for reference.
It's looking very, very good.
I have two minor nit-picks.
The retention strap on the holster needs to be changed. On a revolver, that strap almost always goes directly below/behind the hammer, and a wide strap like that would be angled to minimize the distortion of the strap when it's used. And I've never seen a clasp of that type used for that strap. It is almost always a snap, so that it can be released quickly and cleanly. This strap is normally no more than 1/2" in width, as well.
The suspension strap between the waist belt and the holster would probably have some minor tension (at least) on it in this pose. It would not be slack. Its purpose is to keep the holster from sliding down the thigh due to the weight of the pistol, and it can't do that if it's slack.
