Save us from this diabolically delicious sweet sweet treat from the kitchens of teknopathetic

My favorite Mediterranean dessert, you can serve with a side dollop of whipped cream or serve it as it is
Ingredients: (filling)
2 1/4 cups walnut halves, finely chopped
1 3/4 pistachio nuts, finely chopped
3/4 cups blanched almonds, finely chopped
4 Tbsp pine nuts, finely chopped
Finely grated rind of 2 large oranges
6 Tbsp sesame seeds
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1 cup butter melted
23 sheets filo pastry
(syrup)
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 cups water
5 Tbsp honey
3 cloves
1. Mix the walnuts, pistachios, almonds and pine nuts. Add the orange rind, sesame seeds, sugar, allspice and cinnamon.
2. Preheat oven to 325°F/ 160°C. Grease a 10 inch/ 25 cm oven proof dish, about 2 inches deep.
3. Place a pastry sheet in the bottom of the dish and brush with melted butter. Top with 5 - 6 sheets, buttering between each sheet. (this takes time)
4. Sprinkle with one cup of the filling. Top with three sheets, again, buttering each layer. Continue layering with three sheets and the filling until you have used up the filling and end with a top layer of three sheets.
5. Brush with butter. Cut into 2 inch squares, then make diagonal cuts across the squares. Brush with the remaining butter. Bake in the preheated oven for an hour.
6. Meanwhile, put the syrup ingredients in a saucepan. Slowly bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Then simmer without stirring for 15 minutes, until a thin syrup forms. Let cool for about 5 minutes and remove the cloves.
7. Slowly pour the syrup over the top. Let cool in the dish.
8. Serve and enjoy :3
