Those who live on in our hearts and minds will never truly die, and their memory gives us the strength to keep pushing forward.
It's hard to believe it's been nine years already. I started working on this two weeks ago, with no shortage of tears, after feeling a strong need to do something special in memory of Athus for Narse. These two have been a couple of the most inspirational and influential dragons in my life, and I owe a lot to them for being so wonderful to me and to the world. I'm sure I'm not alone there, either.
I originally wasn't sure about uploading this, but I've decided that it's important to me to do so. I want to help keep Athus' memory alive in everyone's hearts, because he touched so many and brought so many of us together. He's a special soul, and I'm sure he's happily dancing with dolphins under the stars now.
Thank you both for being so insanely awesome.

You did one of the greatest arts i ever seen! You were able to catch an emotion, deeper as the ozean and higher then the mountains. Just this one catched moment in this picture make me feel the love and the sadness in it at the same time. I dont know if my tears are here because of the lost of someone who is belove by so many people here or if my tears are here because of this *happy moment* because of the luck athus got to know people like you and his luck to get remember by so many people with a smile in his face . This art makes me smile because it shows to me that athus give so many lucky and happy moments to others and this art makes me a bit sad too. I hope you understand what i trying to say: its such a very nice symbol! You give a soul in this picture. You make that others, me too- who dont know athus and what happend years ago, are able to feel this moment, maybe a tiny feel of his soul. God arts dont need perfect shadings, anatomy and lines...if they are able to catch emotions and make other feeling those. And you did it! Sorry for my bad english...
I barely interreacted with him myself but I've been a long time watcher of him far farrrrr before we all migrated to FA. Chatted with him alittle on Kaa Starhunter's yahoo group ages ago. I was there when Narse and Athus first started chatting and dating on Kaa's scalie yahoo group. I still remember the first two images Narse uploaded that caught Athus' attention. From there I watched and lurked for many years on FA. I always enjoyed his personality as a watcher. He was always so positive and just seemed a joy whenever he uploaded, whether posting arts or journals.
I was a simple lurker but even I enjoyed simply being there and watching from afar.
I have a commission idea of my own as remembrance for Athus. One day I'll get it.
