Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for... Carbon 3.0!

This reference has been a long-time coming.

The original reference was finished on 5/10/2020 and posted on my Twitter account @/CarbonKlex.

I was not happy with the first two references that I had created from failure to communicate what it is I wanted paired with the limitations with the artist's style.
After many months of searching and a week of going over different clothing styles, body markings, hairstyles, etc., I've come to a completed product.
This is the newest and most-current version of Carbon, and I couldn't be more happy to finally show him off to you all.

The new reference features new earrings, updated markings, new feet, a fluffy new mane, and a new haircut!

The clothing choice was to reflect his lore occupation of being a bounty hunter on the frontier of space in a future sci-fi themed universe.
While I'd love to write that all out here, it's better you just ask for more information. ^.=.^;;
Otherwise, his clothing is not limited to what is shown above, just as a go-to clothing choice should anyone wish to draw him on a whim.
I do plan on getting some more artwork of his recreational attire, which would probably consist of a black tank top and black briefs. :P

Carbon Klex is a fluffy shark of my own design, with features based on Adjot's drake species paired with several varying types of shark species.
Carbon identifies as he/they, and is an intersex male.
Naturally, he is gender-fluid, and naturally changes between the two to compensate for the physical traits the hormones/pheromones both male and female genitalia produce for the body.
This is a natural occurrence one can find in nature in which certain species of sea creatures change their genders at will and reproduce asexually.
Carbon is plenty capable of this, and can control this at will.
This is done to give him the physical edge needed to perform at peak levels with male genitalia, while female genitalia allows him to be more in control and in-tune with his emotions in non-combat scenarios.
Needless to say, Carbon is more of a bring-'em-in-dead kind of bounty hunter, and will do whatever is necessary to get his target.

Carbon is quite capable of controlling the density of his bones, along with rapid healing due to the unknown nature of his ability to control the carbon make-up of his body at-will.
His bones can condense to be as hard as diamonds, and yet can soften to be malleable and bendable like cartilage for when the situation calls.
As a result, his blood and flesh are black to reflect the high levels of Carbon in his body.
He is an example of a unique moment in nature where evolution has created an ultimate life-form more or less.
His body does not age due to his unique regenerative abilities, and is thus stuck in an ever-long purgatory of prime adulthood.
Out of fear of seeing himself outlive anyone he loves, he tends to work alone, and avoids relationships wherever possible.
This is for both his own mental sanity, and the safety of any potential love-interests from becoming a possible target from anyone he might have "issues" with on the job.
