Things you don't notice until you look for them, things you wouldn't think to look for, and things you notice after it's toooo late~

So I guess this is based on artists who edit their pics after they upload them but don't upload the touched up version? Is that even a thing? I don't know the meme just to be 100% clear.

I think you might have missed something about the fourth drawing. Look a bit closer.

Took me way too long to see that XP

The first 3 are representations of the artist's perception of their pic.
In the first one, they see what they think they should be seeing, a normal drawing of an umbreon.
In the second one, flipping the art has the effect of exposing some skewing-biases and other imperfections that for some reason are not easily seen in the unflipped version, be it due to exposure blindness or whatever. Very useful to fix drawings during the sketch phase!
In the third one, flipping vertically kind of confuses the brain and you can't fully process the tiny errors so it usually looks like a more perfect version of your drawing.
The third one happens because after uploading you look at your pic with renewed and more critical eyes and notice some infuriatingly obvious mistake like missing a leg :P

Post-upload clarity is a terrible thing. And the upside-down masterpiece in fig. 3 is just perfect.

haha yes, sometimes while drawing I look at the canvas trying to convince myself that I just posted it so I can get that clarity lolol
