True To The Game

A picture I've been meaning to make for several months but due to putting my university studies first, it had to be shelved.
Since getting into Capitol Critters (a cartoon as fun as it was short lived!) I felt more compelled to draw more rodent characters; the reason being that it gave me the opportunity to have the characters in a more life-size setting. So here they are playing basketball with a rubber bounce ball!
Maybe I put a little too much orange in... =P

Had potential for "Pogo" political satire but other than the slow-witted Dan Quayle-type necktie wearing VP cat..
I can see the CC influence.
Great pic anyways. =3
I love basketball I'd give these guys a helping hand or boost up for a slam dunk anyday, rodents ftw!
Yeah the course is almost finished now. A bittersweet moment, really!
What's the play happening? Did the rat in the red shirt just get a defensive rebound? Is the guy in the yellow sheet trying to open up for a fast break?
Despite the fact that stories suffered from blatent 'Rock 'n' Rule Syndrome', I have to admit, the character designs are good. Very good. I can see now why you're really into rodents now.
This may interest you, but I saw Max's voice actor; Neil Patrick Harris on TV a few weeks ago and no he wasen't Doggie Howser M.D., or (a much older Neil) on How I Met Your Mother? He was actually on an episode of Murder, She Wrote where he was the witness to a murder, but nobody believed him except for Angela Lansbury's character; Jessica Flecther. He was soon endanger from being murdered, but don't worry though Neil's character dosen't get murdered in the end. It wasen't until I heard him speak (while making my breakfast) and I thought he sounded familar, after the show was over, I searched on Wikipedia if Neil was on Murder, She Wrote and surprise, surprise, I was right. There he was listed, playing the guest character I just saw. Small world isen't it.
Back to the picture which is AWSOME, I wonder if those rodents are listening to the Hang Nail rap from Family Guy on that boombox....oh man Neil was in that as well, reprising his How I Met Your Mother character!
You probably all ready know this, but Neil Patrick Harris was also cast as some poor kid with AIDS in a Captain Planet episode. Bizzare, but true.
