I got Dot Game Heroes this week... the first PS3 game I've acctually bought since I bought the system almost two years ago.
This was my first created hero (and the one I'm using to play the game through) and I'm suprised that he came out this well with only about two-odd hours of work (I guess my history with sprite editing did come in handy). You may notice a way-ward red pixel under his right arm, but I've since fixed that (as well as a white mark behind his ear). Dot Game Heroes gives you only the simpilest of tools, but at the same time it doesn't get in your way either so it makes for a very user freindly experiece where you'll get out exactly what you put in.
I wonder if I should open Hero commissions, or at least requests :p
As an aside, anyone who'se a fan of old-school Zelda should definatly pick this game up. I'm pretty happy with how little it holds your hand and just lets you figure things out on your own.

I've only just got to the third dungeon, so I can't say anything for replay, although apparently there is a New Game + (which I wonder would be nessesary to grind out your swords). I'm not sure there would be a whole lot, but considering how cheap it is (I only paid around $35 after shipping) I'm certainly not complaining.
Hehe, I have this game too! I've been thinking of making an Ozzie and Tavi hero, but I'm not sure how to start. Since you have to build the character starting with blank space and go dot by dot, it seems very time consuming! Especially since you have to do it for ever single pose. o.o
You can import other characters as a template and edit from there, which is what I did for the sake of posing (although I ended up chiseling a lot away from the original model).
You can also copy redudant poses too (say the two walking animations, flip them, then make any nessesary symetrical changes). All told it felt like a lot less work than it would have been, particularlly when you practice some optional utilities like moveing blocks en masse (hold the R2 trigger and move with the D-Pad).

I love this game but I really don't understand why people don't buy games or are interested in PS3 games. They make fun of it up until now for it's weak lineup of games than now they go OH it's better now. Honestly I find the exclusive games on the PS3 like this one are much more interesting than the exclusives on the 360.
I acctually have a much larger Wii library, more than the other systems at least.
I guess the biggest reason for me is that I already have a 360 and there isn't really that many exclusive titles for the PS3 that I can't get elsewhere. I only bought the system because my PS2 was crapping out on me (my second one mind you) and Sony was discontinuing PS2 backward comptability all-together on their systems soon after that point.

Little Big Planet intreages me, although I'm not sure I could put the time aside to really get the most out of it to be honest. Certainly one of the more creative (literally) games I've seen and something I'd definatly support.
I'm not much for modern games (FPSs in particular bore me). Pretty much the newest game I've sunk a lot of time into was Oblivion (love the open-ended gameplay and general atmosphere), Dead Rising was a lark too.
Truthfully, a good 80% of my purchases for newer consoles are either retro collections or anything with a heavy-retro theme or petegree.

Don't even get me started on Mega Man Anniversery Collection (which really, was just a very poorly done port of the excellent PS1 'Rockman Complete' collections).
On the flipside I've seen some exampliary collections such as Activision Anthology and Monster World Collection on PS2.
