"Niko was one of my closest friends back in the Academy. Actually, he was one of my only friends. He was a big goof ball, and always tried to look on the bright side of things, no matter how dire. After graduation he went on to become an engineer on a capital ship, before calling it quits to become a treasure hunter. He and I still bump in to each other from time to time. Whenever we do, we go and have lunch or dinner or whatever and share stories of our travels. I'm glad I have a friend like him. It makes it a little less lonely out there."
