I definitely like the job done on the background, you do have a knack for the airy and pale colors. However I think that flattens the characters in the front, maybe adding more shading to the wolf's shirt might make his body fade less into the background? Covers are tough, but you managed to keep the image simple enough not to overwhelm the text.
