So.. yep. This was my second piece for Jewelry/Metalsmithing class. It's the best of the 3 that I did, I think. If I ever get a picture of the first one, I'll post it too. The third.. well.. it was a rush job because my original piece cracked somethin aweful with 2 days left until finals. x.x So 3rd project is.. craptastic.
Anyway! This was put together with rivets. I like rivets. Much better than solder. It's finger and hand armor, custom fit to my hand, of course. One day I'd like to make more of these, and eventually pieces for the entire body with this theme. It was really fun, but I doubt I'll have time or money to take more metals classes any time soon. It's not in my major.
Oh.. and yes. The ring armor does move. The hand part and ring part are two seperate pieces. The metal loops around the thumb and ties over the palm of the hand, and there's rivets along the the top edge of the ring armor that you can't see from here.
