The strings of this Applause tenor ukulele are tied on at the bridge. That is actually true of most ukes. The Applause brand is made by Ovation and shares the same roundback design as other Ovation instruments. The multiple soundholes surrounded by the decorative wood epaulets are another Ovation feature.
