its cool to see people taking faries out of the box so to speak. It reminds me of a moth of sorts really alien. Reminds me of an old storyline i had worked on about a little girl named Lu clearwater. He family was taken by an omious force that swept into there forest area like a malstrum. The faye who lived there had cared much for her family. So they sent her on a quest to stop that evil force as they could not leave there land. Lu had the power to bind the faye to her soul and summon them like attack spells. She started off with three, an earth fire and wind based faye who voluntered to aid her. With her gifted magical wand and a forest wolf spirt bound to her permanently as a guardian, guide and teacher (and friend) she set off alone into the world beyond the forest she knew in an attempt to gain more faye as allies to the eventual conflict which I never got to lol.
this drawing reminds me of that story as this is what one of the faye may have looked like hehe. It's very inspiring.

Man, this is rad. I agree with Cheetahka. It's awesome to see people doing different things with the Sidhe that goes beyond the classical, Victorian-envisioned forms of tiny women with wings and flowing gowns. If you were to go by more modern guidelines, I would place this fellah along the lines of "Unseelie", but that's only if you follow those guidelines.
The old Irish legends say that we have to respect them, no matter their alignment. To cross the Good Folk is to wish ill upon oneself.
This is a very thought-provoking design.
