Up next in the Team Katswell Character Guide we have Kitty's Arabic ancestor, the swift and agile Arabian prince turned freedom fighter Kareem Abdul Qittaswell.
In case you're wondering, yes. This is where the Qittaswell Sisters got their name from. Kitty named the troupe after Kareem himself.

Bio:
Kareem Abdul Qittaswell was born a prince of an Arabian city along the coast of Morocco called Qitta-Kobar, a city rich in spice trading, art, and fine entertainment. However, when he was only 8 years old, he was framed for the murder of his parents, the rulers of Qitta-Kobar, by the greedy Grand Vizier Sinistra Snaptrap, Snaptrap's ancestor, and was banished by the council as punishment for it. Since then, he fled to the desert with his trusted advisor Goudou Stiltakahn, and they was taken in by a small band of thieves who also got framed by Sinistra, who had just become the new Sultan of Qitta-Kobar. So, they decided to band together, and vow to overthrow Sinistra and take back the throne.
During his time with the thieves, Kareem learned various combat skills and became an expert swordsman. But, he believed that he needed something more to help him take back the throne. So, while he and Goudou were on a training expedition, they stumbled upon a lamp that was buried in the sand. After rubbing the dust off, the lamp released a magic scorpion genie named Stingabahd, who offered to help him and the thieves in any way he can. Unfortunately, he couldn't usurp Sinistra instantly because his magic isn't strong enough for that. But, he DID give Kareem the ability to freeze time for no more than 5 seconds, making him an elusive target for Sinistra's guards to catch.
With Stingabahd by his side, Kareem had all he needed to take back what was rightfully his. So, he had Goudou re-establish the thieves into a small band of rebels, and formed a resistance against Sinistra's iron-fisted rule. Over time, the resistance gained more and more support, and during that time, Kareem and his Qittaswell Freedom Fighters halted Sinistra's influence across the Middle East. By 1001 A.D., Kareem has gained enough support from the people of Qitta-Kobar to overthrow Sinistra, and with the help of his friends, they were able to usurp him, and Kareem was put back in power, promising to lead his people to a better tomorrow.
A few months later, however, Kareem met up with his descendent Kitty Katswell and her team of crime-fighters, Team Katswell, when they went back in time to stop Jack's henchman, Slither Jacket, who was posing as a buyer and seller of harem girls that would help him steal various silks and jewels from Arabian royalty. Kitty and Allison found him in his palace study, trying to get to the bottom of these strange robberies that were occurring. He pretty much dismissed their unusual clothing at first, but Kareem knew that they had a friendly air about them, so he let the Team set up shop in his wine cellar. With Goudou's help, Kareem and Team Katswell were able to find out that Slither used the harem girls he bribed to perform belly dances to the public to distract the crowds while he meets up with Jack, and deliver the loot to him. So, while Kitty and Allison disguised themselves as belly dancers to distract the public, Kareem and the rest of the Team stumbled across Jack and Slither, when Slither extracted Kareem's DNA for Jack. As Jack escaped to the present, John fought with Slither while Kareem, Dudley, and the others looked for the stolen loot. After Slither was defeated, his harem girl business was shut down, the loot was rightfully returned to the people, and Team Katswell returned to the present, thanking Kareem for his help.
Personality & Traits:
Kareem is very adventurous and always willing to go outside and just jump around at times. But, he still puts his people and his friends and family in high regards, and is very respectful towards them, making him a well-liked ruler for them. When faced with a problem, Kareem gets a bit concerned at first, but once he puts together the pieces, and finds a possible solution to it, he becomes more comfortable, and maintains the level-headed nature that his people expect from him.
While he is respectful of his friends in the Qittaswell Freedom Fighters, he does tend to be pretty cheeky with them, but not to the point of being mean. He actually didn't mean it, and his friends (aside from Goudou, who nearly has heart attacks from them) usually laugh along with them. When Kitty and Team Katswell teamed up with him, he suggested that Kitty and Allison go undercover as harem girls because he believed they would make good belly dancers. They thought so too, and in the present, they actually had plans to form their own belly dance troupe outside of TUFF.
Kareem is also a skilled chef as well, and even has a special kabob recipe that Kitty's mom still makes to this very day. He also has a big appetite, and would often be seen at the buffet table stuffing his face at royal banquets, or pigging out on the resistance's rations during Sinistra's reign. But, sometimes his growling stomach often gives him away when he's trying to be sneaky, but he's never gotten caught once, and still has a sense of dignity about himself that his people strive to look up to.
Well, that's Kareem Abdul Qittaswell for "TUFF: Team Katswell." And, for my "Qittaswell Sisters" fans, now you know where the troupe got its name from. ^^
