well yes, this is a risk you run, though it's still well worth it I think. it's even better when you get it running proper.

the mechanic said the carbs a very hard to balance and never be perfect so the backfire is as much apart of the bike as the petrol tank, still cool thou, i love it X3

i saw a black car in may while i got out of school and it had spikes on the rims and my uncle told me he used to put on his car but that was a long time ago right now he's 60 years old and he is still a mechanic.

Oh yeah....sweet bike. After searching around for a bike that is "Me", I finally settled on the VS750, the style, performance, everything is just kickass.

over here its easier to rob a bank than to find one for sale, eveyone hangs on to them and every one i have met who rides bikes say they are a great bike, my friend said he had the 750, 800, 1400 and 1500 XD

Oh and custom parts are a plenty!

So far I am finding much the same here in the American Southwest. There's a guy with a 700 at a bike shop, but he wants to have it fixed, not sell it. Sad, because it was HIS bike that made me want the 750.

I prefer to fix mine up too, and maintain them....honestly I've never ridden a bike, but I have always loved Bicycles, and have been wanting to learn to Ride for years.

i will tell you this, choose your handle bars carefully, as you can see i went with a wide drag bars, looks great but wrong set up, after a little while it hurts my back and little difficult to maneuver round tight obstetrical at low speed so i changed them ^^
But so far i have not heard one bad thing yet about them apart from the wires corroding in the older versions but that is nothing majorly bad

I bought mine with having a license XD and went around the garden learning to ride it and it was easier when i started learning on the road ^^

I've seen people convert those to a single carb, which gets rid of the balance problem.

I got the balance problem sorted.. clogged carbs ..thanks to modern fuel! but I think it would be difficult to convert it into a single carb? considering the carbs are mounted onto the rear of the cylinders and not much room under the tank or coming out the sides.

Sorry, I was thinking of the Yamaha Virago, which does have a more convenient layout (and is a notorious bastard for syncing).
