I've been waking up around 5AM recently to go out and experience nature. Normally, I'm not a morning person. I despise mornings. Morning is what you do for dead people...(mispelling intended =3)
But there is an incredible beauty that one will miss if they do not break from the norm periodically. Even if only for a single day, I recommend waking up in the early morn and going for a nice long walk. Watch the dawn, and see the night-critters skitter back to their dens. Even if you live in the close-knit suburbs there's wildlife to be seen.
It's inspiring.
This pic was taken the other morning as I watched from high above as a mist encircled the town, coming in and out like waves. I was above the clouds. Unfortunately the photos I took were an unimpressive sea of white...but I took this pic as I walked back down because I thought the sunbeams were lovely.

You're in western MA, yeah? The air there's better than it is in eastern MA.
But I'm in NH, which rocks your soul. >3
*hugs* kidding. -^^= but it's really nice in the mornings. I'm a semi-morning person- I'm conditioned to wake up from getting adrenaline rush as soon as the alarm kicks in. x3 I don't know how I make it down Route 3 every morning I have to go to work.

lovely scene. maybe I should pick up means to photograph when I'm away for classic car faires. the smaller ones take place in remote village vicinities with lots of wood around. and on sunday morning I usually walk around a bit since I'm a rather early bird.
sometimes I wished I had a compact video cam ready. a couple years ago I witnessed thunderclouds above the giant, ancient volcano kettle which houses my hometown of Stuttgart. they piled up there and started to flash lightnings all across the clouds instead of to the ground, so the clouds illuminated themselves with low, rumbling thunders running across the land... it lasted for somewhat 20min before it finally started to rain... it was a goosebump-raising and impressive sight to behold!
