8" x 10" oil on panel. I loved working on this painting, it was both exciting and a challenge-- but I'm still not quite sure how to talk about it! I feel like there are a lot of emotions overlapping here. There's some exchange and intermingling of sorrow and joy here, at least to me-- I see this image playing out in slow motion when I think about it. It's almost more of an abstract piece, despite being representational... at any rate, I am already planning to do more paintings in this vein and seeing where it goes.
The original sold early to a Patreon supporter, but I do have small canvas prints available!
