Biographical Data - Very few records of Nicolette exist before the age of 18, it is probably likely that Nicolette is not even her real name. It has become her name as it appears to be the one she most frequently prefers when not running a con. At 18 she first appeared on Pythia, stripping and performing sexual favors for very high end clients who preferred serpentine lovers. More often than not she would empty out their credit accounts and remove their clothing upon her departure, literally taking the shirt off their backs and disappearing from view. She found a certain measure of amusement in wearing her male clients clothing out the door as she left them with nothing.

When she was hired by Senator Quentin Coyle, she had prepared to run her usual con on him as well, though he had realized what she was doing and was able to slip something into her drink. When she regained consciousness, he convinced her to try and live an honest life (with threat of jail if she didn't), and for a short while, it worked. Nicolette married the senator and became pregnant, laying Kate's egg some time later. In some ways she had even fallen in love with the senator, though in time her urges to go back to her old ways began to surface.

When her daughter was four, she took her from the family home and disappeared, teaching her how to pickpocket, break locks, hack computers, and any other illegal skill she could pass on to her daughter. She taught her how to do several mother-daughter cons and when she was old enough she taught her how to use feminine wiles against male and female clients, seducing members of both sexes.

Eventually she and her daughter parted ways, which suited Nicolette just fine as she preferred to not have a partner, and Kate was recruited by Lissa, aka Data Mouse, a mouse that was an expert in collecting information from anywhere. While Kate's activities were still extralegal, this eventually put her in contact with Davis McKane and the Whisper crew.

Nicolette continued to pull jobs until she ran into Kate again, helping her in some fashion by posing as Nicolette Kraft, her mentor. It was not yet revealed until some time later that Nicolette is Kate's mother. She has attempted to kill both Kate and Senator Quentin Coyle at one point. At present, Nicolette is still alive and her location and plans are unknown.

Production Data - Nicolette first appears in season 3 as 'Nicolette Kraft', Kate's Mentor. She is one of the more frequently recurring villains on the series, being one of the few to recur throughout the entire remainder of the series.
