Small beads of sweat adorned his forehead, his tail swishing with agitation behind him. The fox's ears were pinned back, a frown on her lips, her arms wrapped around her waist. Their footsteps grew loud in her head, amplifying the awkward silence among them. Freyz was acting odd, but she would much rather be nearer to him, a long-term and mutual friend of her husband, than to his overly animated, and frankly, shifty looking companion. Something didn't quite sit right about this cat. Sure, Aeris had red eyes and horns, but so did Freyz. No, it was something else. She seemed to look directly into a person, rather than at them. Robina already felt plenty exposed in her costume; she wasn't especially fond of feeling like her entire existence was on display, thanks to this cat. Bina rubbed her arm in an attempt to calm herself, which was just one action too many for Aeris to handle. Abruptly, Aeris stepped in front of Bina and Freyz, hands on her hips.

"Alright, you buzzkills! What's the deal? If this is the attitude we're bringing to the party, we might as well turn around before we get there." Aeris glared at Bina, making the fox swallow hard. Then her attention shifted to Freyz. "Hey boy, what's your excuse?" Freyz blinked slowly, one hand rubbing his neck, and gave her a shrug, his gaze off in the distance. His behavior had become increasingly detached as they walked together. He wasn't even looking at Robina, a good friend of his. Aeris pondered, before a knowing grin grew on her lips. She slipped back into her place and encouraged the group to continue walking, this time her hand on Robina's back. Her tone grew sweet as she sought to reassure her new foxy friend. "Maybe we just need to reduce the tension a little..." she purred, her eyes on Robina this time. Bina felt trepidation wash over her. She looked to Freyz, hoping for some sort of sign that things were okay. He met her gaze, this time a gentle smile on his lips, his large canines glistening in the moonlight.

Before she could form another thought, a hand was on her chin, pulling her gaze back to Aeris. This time, Bina couldn't look away. She quickly started to feel her anxiety dissipate, her body relax. Did she even want to look away? It felt like there was nothing else TO look at. There was only Aeris, whose lips were moving, but Bina heard nothing. She was so entranced by the allure of this kitty, that she was unaware of any sensation in her body except curiosity, and the growing hunger for more of this pleasant glow filling her head. She didn't even notice the fiendish woman pulling the hair from her shoulders, exposing her neck. For a brief moment, she thought that maybe she even felt a burning sensation in her neck, but she brushed it away, as it paled in comparison to the warmth of Aeris' gaze. Freyz sunk his teeth deeper into Bina's neck, eager to quell his thirst. His agitated tail swishing slowed to a content sway, as he pulled back, licking every drop from his lips. He, too, felt the warmth and comfort of contentment. Aeris giggled, feeling proud of her quick thinking. This will be a fun night indeed!

I really wanted to do a Halloween themed YCH commission, so I asked my Discord server what to draw. Vampire was the most suggested. Vampire coming out of a coffin sounded neat, but conversation moved to a private DM group with my friends and I, where it was pitched that Aeris and Freyz were drawn together, possibly even heckling some poor third party victim. I said that would be fun, maybe I could fund it by making the third character a YCH slot! The idea was too exciting, and it ended up being fulfilled by the same person who pitched the idea haha. We ended up with this, two shifty cats taking advantage of a reserved fox lady, who just wanted a fun night out. Luckily for her, they wont hurt her... too much.
