"Contrary to what a lot of people say, shoes are very important for explorers. Between jagged geography, caustic puddles, or uncomfortably high or low temperatures, there are plenty of ways one could hurt their paws. Keeping them protected is kind of a no brainer. Some won't do it because it's "uncomfortable" or that their paws "can handle it". Personally, I don't take the chances. I can bear a bit of awkwardness for the safety of my paws. And I look fresh as heck."
