Once again, here's the electronic source file for Dream of Albion after the last changes I made to the recorded one. As before, there are probably several better ways to finger it.
Just about everything I have to say about this one is already in the original submission, so here's a tour of some other songs as well - I should say that the base for this song owed a lot to Beyond the Black Hole by Gamma Ray, particularly the bare power chords section near the end. In Beyond the Black Hole where it happens at 4:45, it's also a very rare instance of power metal narration being epic and not accidentally hilarious (though you might think differently on that :) )
Just before that section in Dream of Albion, I really liked the C-section with the vocals, and then my wife mentioned that it sounded like Dr Stein. Which it does, a bit - it shares that kind of mood with the chorus, even though it was completely unintentional, and now I can't unhear it. That section has been titled in the song's honour in the GP5.
And of course, a lot of the solo is a reference to my own song called Albion, from a frighteningly long time ago.
