Sai had hired a painter to create a portrait of her and Kale the odd emotionless nevrean she has taken a liking to for years now. As she readied herself by removing her clothes but her underwear, she did the same with Kale like a doll, holding her and posing her on the couch, wrapping her arm around her. The painter seemed confused and weirded out as he noticed the ''doll'' blinking, realizing it was a living being.


''painter'' huuuuuh ma'am, if i may ask, what is...


''Sai'' Don't worry about Kale, she's fine, it will be a long story to tell you, i am not sure you want to listen to this.


''painter'' Well painting a portrait takes quite a long time , so i wouldn't mind hearing it? If it is not too much trouble of course.



''Sai'' Do you remember the old leaders of this city? The 2 vile agudners who created a dark age here? Kale was part of a secret project they had in mind for a long time. Kidnap children, force them to push their body to their limit, train them at a young age to become a new breed of soldiers.


Kale in her case, was part of the spy program. They would forced them to remove all emotions by making them commit horrible act, those who refused who be beaten and forced to starve. While those who succeeded would get the same result, except they had a small amount of food, which they would eat in front of those who failed.


No tears to shed, no arm to hug you, no ears to hear your pain. She never had a childhood, she never experienced what most did. When i met her, she gave up on life , she laid on the ground allowing starvation to be the end. I was but a lonely woman forced to do things as well for my cruel sister.


I took pity on her and brought her to a secret area no one knew but me. I would feed, clean and read her stories. Some days i would even sleep alongside her, keeping her warm even though she never shown any emotions i knew she was enjoying my company.


When Umasi was plotting to take over the city, she asked for my aid and Kale heard us, she walked for the first time since i took care of her and wanted to see the leaders die.





''painter'' wow..... I heard the old king was a horrible leader, but i did not believe he would go as low as destroy children life....




''Sai'' when Umasi came to power, i could follow a new career in life, no more my sisters pet doing horrible act of slave trading, i opened my own theater. I brought Kale there as it was a much more comfortable home for her. I sat her next to the puppets and doll i used during my shows, and well, she too discovered what she wanted to become in life.



''painter'' A doll? She wants to become a doll?

''kale would smile hearing this, but after a few second she would resume her dead expression''



''Sai'' Indeed, it's progress in my oppinion, i take care of her like a doll, and to express gratitude to Umasi for giving us a better life, she does spying jobs for her. When she comes home, i spend as much time as i can with her. She's not just a doll you see, I fell in love with her. One day i wish to bring life to her, to give her enough love she can be truly happy.



I know this is the strangest relationship you have seen, you are bad at hiding expressions.



''painter'' s...sorry, usually i heard the same stories of lovers meeting at a public place, flowers, kiss all that typical thing you see in books.



''Sai'' indeed we tend to see love as a cliche but, sometime it can come out of strange occurrence, this portrait means a lot to me, it symbolize a better future and it shall keep our love alive even after we pass away. 2 broken souls who patched eachother by becoming one.
