Eighth of 31 daily drawings I did for October, each one being fan art for a different series. This is Jay from Tales of Legendia. Since I've never owned a Playstation console, I've never played Legendia. I have watched playthroughs of it though, and I've gotten really attached to the story and its characters. Jay is a character I'm particularly attached to, since I relate to him. He's sarcastic, childish, and has a hard time placing his trust in people. Inside though, he's lonely and wants to be able to reach out to others. Also, he's friends with otter creatures!

His voice actor also returns in Tales of Graces ƒ where he plays Hubert.
They couldn't have picked a better VA for Hubert. :D
I really wish they'd do a Legendia R. Not just to see the Final Fantasy Unlimited people in HD, but also to give that game some more justice. SAdly they might also have to redub it or change the voice actors and... oh yikes would we know.

Yep, I recall hearing that the main reason for that is because of the voice actors were cast back then and how different it is now. Actors working with the union vs. not, different agencies, etc.
Legendia is in many ways one of the better Tales games and one of the worst. On one hand it has a nice plot, good soundtrack, and some nice characters. But on the other.... the second half doesn't really introduce any new areas apart from a few dungeons here and there so you're constantly backtracking and listeing to the same tracks all game. (And it's easily a 60-70 hour game.)
