Emma arriving overseas via dirigible at the colonial fort-town. For various reasons explained in the story her people developed balloon, blimp, and dirigible travel before large ocean-going ships.
i knew i was going to continue to refine her design, but this also felt like Emma officially arriving to take part in this story...

Thanks! Some of these sketches are pretty nifty so it's a sort of happy feeling posting them. The story is about a plague and failed romance and political corruption and hidden...whatever so happy re art looking cool not sad content . i wrote it over twenty years ago. my lawyers are looking into filing a plagiarism suit against Reality. Which is difficult as Reality hasn't obeyed a court summons these last few years.
Chapter one opens about ten years after this - so an image of the backstory - of which there is a lot - backstory of Emma's childhood, parents, etc
