Also, WTF barefoot Yoshis!!! Yoshis have clawed, three-toed feet when they not wear shoes. At least they have in Super Mario RPG, which I used as a reference for the matter.

Well, I used Boshi from SMRPG as a reference, since he is the only Yohsi ackniowledged by Nintendo to show his toes. I think there is another instance with a shoe-less Yoshi somewhere in the cartoons, but I don't really know those.
