i left the fandom as well
i don;t call myself a furry, but i still do the things i like to do (draw animals/furries, makes costume bits etc)
i noticed that when i recognize that i don't need to label myself in a group just to try to fit in
to be honest, i didn't like being bashed as a pervert when i dont even do those things that furries stereotypically do
its easier to just do whatever and not being worried about people's views and judgments

Though, im sure you have your reasons, go on and be yourself c:
