An awesome commission I had done and brought to life thanks to the wonderful artist BlaueHexe.
Busara is a Shaman and Leader of her tribe of nomad lions and lionesses.
The leaders of the tribe are said to be chosen by the gods and goddesses alone and commanded great respect, all of them females. Bussara is especially known for her wisdom, visions of the future, and for unknowingly leading her daughter down the path of darkness.
A small young cub entered the world, a perfect lioness who's jaws parted and emitted strong cries. Blindly she pawed at her littermate and brother who lazily rolled closer to his mother's paws and cuddled into them. Busara smiled down at her two cubs and gently nuzzled her daughter. Yet the moment her nose brushed up against her daughter's face the den seemed to flash with a bright light that seared the maned lioness with pain. She gasped as the world became dark and wildly looked around.
Something was wrong, she was no longer in the world of the living but instead in that of dreams. Shadowy whisps curled around her paws as she looked around. Suddenly she was walking through grass, the land starting to become vaguely familiar to her. Determined to find out what the god's were trying to show her the lioness moved forward till she heard the giggle of a young cub. Her ears perked up as she tried to pinpoint where the sound had come from. But the sound seemed to echo throughout the area.
"Hello?"
She called out as the hairs on the back of her neck began to rise. Something was wrong.
"What do you wish to show...."
Her words were interrupted by the call of the young cub.
"Hello mother."
The voice was cold, had grown sinister. Busara whipped around and stared at was unmistakably her daughter, only older.
"Thia???"
"You made me do this"
The cub told her, not even acknowledging her mother had called her name.
"Your blindness and foolishness made me do this."
"Made you do what?"
The lioness asked with confusion in her tone.
Suddenly a disfigured form appeared and lunged toward her.
Busara could sense the hate and rage this beast held, it's clear intent to send her into the afterlife. Her paws were frozen with fear as she stared up at the beast that she knew would be the cause of her demise.
"The tribe will suffer for your foolishness."
The words echoed as Busara roared with fear as the disfigured beast slammed it's paws through her and she was thrown from the vision.
With a gasp of air Busara awoke from her slumber wide eyed and looked around her peaceful den. SLowing her breath she peered down at her beloved daugther with fear.
"There has to be another way."
She whispered, there just had to be a way to save her daughter, keep her from the path of darkness. It was than that she decided to avoid the fate shown to her she would choose her daughter as the next leader of the tribe. Surely under her watchful gaze she could guide her daughter to the light. Sadly unknown to her this very choice was what would lead her daughter into the darkness.

It is a very messed up story. Cause after Thia gets told she is to be the next leader and she works hard on it for years she has a sister born who is born with the markings. Thia is than ignored and all that she trained for is thrown away. So she is one of those villans you love to hate but feel sorry for at the same time.
