I hadn't drawn Dixie as a little girl in years (round body, large head, light fur, no bust), I usually draw her as an adult (Hips, bust, long hair, reddish fur). I also wanted to draw Thermidor for a few years.
The Donkey Kong Country cartoon is official but not canon. I handle Dixie as if the events of the cartoon occurred before the events of the Donkey Kong Country game (1994).

It is my favorite episode, not only because of Dix, it is because of the final message, at my age it is very common that I cannot see people I loved again, either because of some problem or even because they die. Many people have tried to encourage me during my hardest mourning, however my mother was the one who succeeded, she told me that the best thing was to remember the best of that friend, relative, etc. What Nadine wrote for this episode touches on that theme, makes it simple and understandable.
