Y'know, I think the way you arranged them is just as artistic as someone who draws them. I mean, no one we know "invented" white or blue or black, right?
S'like in that episode of Star Trek when Data worries that his performances as a musician aren't "true art" because he's using the techniques of the masters before him... but the fact that he's blending their works together, not just playing as one of them, is where his unique artistry lies. It's been an important lesson for me, as well.

Lol... If there was something analogous in Star Wars, I'd have used it... but Star Trek has such awesome stuff, too.
And yes, if I didn't occasionally use other people's elements in my work, I'd be screwed too... I mean, fractals are all about modifying math, and I'm sure as hell not gonna come up with the formulae, even if I screw around with individual parameters. Stories, too, if people end up (ever) deciding to take me up on requests.
