'A chilled breeze swept through the old town nestled within the endless mountain and thick forests, down the cobbled streets lined with aged oak trees and the quaint residences and huddled shops that were its life blood. The warmth of summer most had known for the last few months was quickly carried in its path, replaced with a whispering and lingering cold. Emerald green leaves shook on their branches, one or two breaking from the force and flying on the breeze, dancing to who knows where. Was Autumn truly approaching their picturesque town? Of course. The long hot days must come to an end; and with it, the start of harvesting season and the preparation for winter can begin.
Walking down the bustling main street, Fianna feels the winds pick up in her moment of hesitation upon its touch, rushing past her pink and white dressed form without a care in the world. She tilts her head up, strands of loose brown hair lifting around her face, and listens to natureβs deep bellied sigh. Her expression is content, one hand tightening its grip on her book and the other a basket containing late summer fruit. Thick golden lashes close over eyes deep and rich as twin cups of tea, enhancing her senses.
Yes...she can almost picture the days to come, rich with colors and tastes akin to the season of celebrated decay. The foods and meals to make from the last of the harvests, observing the beauty of nature in all itβs dramatic, not-so-final glory, and the memories to be had with close friends and family.'
