Well, in some alternate scenario, Niadra's infested Protoss spaceship crash-landed somewhere in the end. And well, "somewhere" was actually kinda toxic environment full of various venomous beings. Due to Zergs bio-organic shapeshifting powers and adaptations, it was just a matter of time before Niadra mutated even further, grew self-sufficient entirely and got a new, dark-themed Zerg creatures broods, ultimately to be known as Nemesis Brood. (Infested James Headnail's would be almost the same, just called Nocturnal Brood and with indigo fragments instead of orange like in case of Niadra's Brood.)
