After a tough fight following an ambush. Blue and Mason decided to take a break to clean up their wounds.
Despite the fact that Blue is well acquainted with the forest environment and these swamps,
he did not expect to run into an ambush like that, especially by such a ferocious enemy.
That's happened so quickly.
They didn't even have time to clearly identify their enemies.
After falling into a ravine, their enemies turned back.
Mason then saw an azure lake in the middle of bushes and dead trees.
Them, they take advantage of the respite time to wash their wounds and redo their bandages.
After removing their equipment, they immersed themselves in the lake.
The cold water already soothed the pains, even if they remained sharp.
But despite this feeling of tranquility something is wrong.
Blue isn't reassured, especially in an awkward position.
And he's right, something is lurking in the shadows ....
BJ _Mason, didi you hear that noise ?
M _Haarg ! IT HURTS !!
BJ _HEY !!! You dumbass! I think We've Got Company !

I really enjoyed making this drawing.
I don't know why but I loved doing this decor when I'm usually pretty bad at it.
But like I made a semi realistic scenery, I also removed the inking initially present on Blue and Mason because
I didn't like the shift between a semi 3d scenery and characters with a "manga" inking. and therefore,
for the first time I removed it and am satisfied with the result.
I don't think I will do this style all the time but given the result,
I think I will do it again later, from time to time.
Hope you like this new style !

actually the reflection of the water being the same as the background also made a lot of appeal, theres a balance of the tones of green being the main focus but blended perfectly to the main characters without it seeping too far into their own color pallets and the trees and flora of the background make it look like lot of effort was into this.
the size difference also is amazing seeing two men of varying size take a ease from their trip to relax and freshen up :D

The most difficult part was the splash effect on Mason's arm. it's horrible to do x.x .... and I'm still not satisfied.
The scenery in the end was rather funny to do. (with a good brush it's easier ^^). I loved using these shades of blue and green and some hint of yellow to create an environment oppresented by this vegetation and angelica by these reflections and these play of light. And yes Mason is rather tall. or is it Blue who is small? these are two extremes that I love to exploit XD

It's a long story, but size has been an important issue for Mason and his personality. (Before he was taller .... too tall ....) but I find that this size is perfect to be a strong presence near his friend. more than that, It materializes the father's side that Mason maintain with Blue. (LORE takes a bit long to explain, but it's funny in the end). They both act as an asymmetric stabilizer. But this dimension makes me find that they complement each other in this sense.
Your point of view is super constructive and brings me a new perspective on my creation. And just for that thanks a lot !

He has already lived a lot of history, he is 16 years older than me. I don't know if he agrees with me talking about his past with you, but what I can say is that he suffered a lot. Luck would have it that we found ourselves in a forest resembling this swamp. and since then we stay together.
