It's mildly uncomfortable. Which, I get -- I've just kind of started to accept that people come in and out of my life for one reason or another. And It's helped me to be comfortable on my own, and savor the good/nice connections, while I have them.

I had many people come and go during the years I've been online. Problem is, I feel like I've lost them because I wasn't active or entertaining enough? Like, I have trouble keeping a conversation going 24/7 because I'm distracted by everything. I like being alone to work on art or keeping up on my aquariums and stuff. But that doesn't involve other people...
Do you think I should interact more? Like, force myself to write a few times a day to people and try to start some kind of conversations?

Friends really come and go, and the painful part is figuring out which friends stay to pull you through. Not everyone will appreciate your personality, but those who do makes it all worthwhile!

I don't think I have a bad personality, I tend towards the side of curious about interests, and always ready to talk about any fandom or stuff people like. I mean, most of my days I draw a lot, play some games, and take care of my fishes! I have plenty of time to do... well... anything!

Hobbies are a great way to start things too! Once you find something in common with someone, it's quite easy to start another convo! I think posting pictures of your fursuit helps too! It brings in another topic that people can chat about ^.^

It's hard making friends. Especially if you're shy. It took me a loooong time to finally find the friend group I'm with now.

The important part is finding one or more people you can feel comfortable being yourself with imho. I think the hard part is finding people to connect with, since making friends in certain places (i.e. forums, social media, etc.) is a heavy gamble. I try to be a friend to most folks I know, because I've been there for years, so feel free to reach out if you just need someone to talk to!

Honestly, I had a friend back in the days that wanted to introduce me to his friends, but I kept going silent because there was so many of them, and I couldn't keep up with all the chats... I feel really bad about it now, even tho it was several years ago.
Now I always do my best to be friendly and nice, but I'm not sure it would become friendship since I'm really introverted and tend to focus on my own projects? I have several conditions that make it hard on me, but I'm always doing my best to not forget about other people. Problem is, there's no people these days lol

Most if not all of my friends are online friends i've made over the years of playing one particular game, those people have stayed with me for years. Of course through the furry community i've also made quite a few friends, and some furry friends came from the game, but it still seems to me that without a connection, making friends is really difficult. The only real friend i made in the last 3 years was a friendly teen working in an electronics store, who i could talk a lot about for the Switch. We ended up playing games together but im still barely initiating a chat as i got 0 things to talk about whereas with the game peeps i can always talk about the game's past or RP with some of my furry friends.

Honestly.. its difficult, i can make a good chat with people at work and about 4 of them in particular sit really close to me as we do quite a bunch of random chats together, but its still just that, never something personal or such as im just so different from most people with my interests. All people know about me is that i like drawing dragons and playing games.

The best thing you can do is find someone that you can always chat with, and feel comfy with. Furries are hard to find IRL and not all of em are great (i mean im just a clingy, energy-filled borger moncher IRL), but they would be something you can talk a lot about and show random art to eachother with. Maybe see if some peeps play a game you like to play and find some in there through their avatar... then again sometimes people do want IRL friendships over digital ones.

Ask them about their music interest, thats never an awkward question to ask. Then ask them when they listen to it, how they enjoy their free time. Just small questions of interests do the trick. You can quickly learn whether someone's interested or not, and that matters as having no interest means no interaction.

Oh... um i listen to any of the following or a combination of the following:
symphonic, rock, metal, medieval, dark, alternative, synthrock, synthwave, metal, house, classical, glitchhop, electro, orchestral, gothic, fantasy, eurobeat, ballad, acoustic and chiptune.

Lots of pokemon or legend of zelda (lots of retro) remixes, songs from Aviators, The Living Tombstone, Monstercat, Dominic Ninmark, SharaX and other stuff. Energetic music, but also sometimes calm fantasy stuff. Aviators is the person i listen to daily, that being Resurrection, Slasher (the original), Love Bites, his recent cover of Holding Out For A Hero and sometimes a bit of Neon Sonata.

I uh.. sometimes go a bit too deep into my music taste, i just love the music. QWQ

I was just awake anyways because i didnt wanna be late for my presentation at 9 so i just didnt sleep.... dont give me such good words im not worth theeeem or know how to respond to them because nobody ever gave me anything other than pain and abuse in my childhood so now my brain short circuits whenever someone says something nice that i dont know how to accept or respond to because often i dont feel like i did something that deserves a compliment or needs a compliment and thus even if i think the compliment is deserved i still just fall on my face because im just so emotionally confused and all i can do is re-explain my situation over and over and act defensively by either brushing it off or getting angry to forget i got the compliment.

Presentation is in about an hour and 30 min, i got infinite energy and Gamer™️ blood, so i feel none of it. Got a full workday after it but its just converting a BankAccount ORM entity to a Dbal implementation in legacy code and some data fixes.

I know that feeling. People come and go and sometimes I lose contact with people. It helps to bring everyone together in a chat so we can see one another regularly and so we don't drop off the radar as PMs otherwise get overwhelming and I sometimes forget to reach out to people.
