Taking a minor break from working on other images.
I wanted to try and improve how I do hair and fur.

And after selecting what animal to test on, I went to work trying out different brush styles and sizes.
Once I picked a brush, one I was mostly using, I went ahead and resized it to .4

Using some photos as reference for how their fur is like since the odds of me finding a real one that would be nice enough to me to check is really low. I would try and match how it is on most photos I've used. Noticed some had a mile waviness to it. So I would apply some of it to the image as well.

And because I used a small point, I was able to get some fine details as well. Almost as small as it would be in actual hair/fur. It's also one reason why the canvas is big as well, to show the detailing off.

I probably won't do this size for a headshot, maybe two more times, but it was nice to try and get all that in there.

The fun thing is. I didn't follow my own linework 100%. So after getting making some edits, it now looks correct 😅
