Oh, Medjed.
Medjed is a charming little deity! He's literally supposed to be a fish that gained godhood after it ate... one of Osiris' more "important" pieces (see Osiris' ref for a hint).
He's most commonly depicted like this -- essentially, he looks like a cone with legs! His name means "The Smiter," and he supposedly has the ability to shoot lasers out of his eyes -- all while looking like a kid in a ghost Halloween costume!
I decided to depict him as a fish, seeing as that's what he originally was before he became a god. My friends and I had a good chuckle trying to figure out Medjed's personality and behavior; we settled on the idea that Medjed is... just barely sentient, to put it nicely. He essentially has the mind and mannerisms of a nonverbal toddler -- the most he'll ever say is some nonsensical mumble ("hHM") when he feels like making noise. He seems to kind of understand human speech, though he has a habit of taking things way too literally (as toddlers do) and has the attention span of a grapefruit. He's also really small -- since his original self was a very small fish, his godly self is about the size of a large dog! In comparison to the deities, he can fit in the palms of their hands.
This little guy has legs, of course, but he's not the greatest at using them. He waddles around a bit like a penguin (and just as slowly, to boot) and will flop around in distress if he falls over -- he doesn't really have the arm (fin?) strength necessary to pick himself back up, after all!
His "laser eyes" are equally comical. Medjed has a wall-eyed stare most of the time, and his eyes will only focus on something if he's about to shoot lasers at them. This also seems to be his method of eating things, funnily enough, as he disintegrates his "food" with his laser eyes as a way of consuming them. Unfortunately, he has a habit of doing this to inanimate objects, so poor Osiris and Isis (his primary caretakers/"parents," seeing as they're kind of the reason he exists) have to try and prevent him from "eating" too much of their temple.
Medjed is kind of adorable. He's not a major character by any means, but he does appear a few times in the story. He can actually be pretty sweet in his own little way, and is quite affectionate to his "parents" and the people he likes.
