Why do I get a bad feeling that, by the end of this storyline, the dragon will somehow fall in love with him?
I mean, he has iron dedication to the command he misheard, persistence, rules-lawyering on his side. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some rule regarding defeated foes as well.
