Yep, I did the unthinkable! MADE A FAN-CHARACTER. On snap.
Couldn't help myself. If I'm going to overindulge in fanart, might as well have some personal flair, right? Haha. This is Cobalt, the kind of Hunter who waits on the side-lines waiting to killsteal (considering the caution tape doesn't allow him to be that sneaky). zareonianwolf is planning to make a Smoker so they can be bros. I've even doodled some comic ideas for the 2 already. xD
This is my very first fan-character, aside from one that was drawn a whopping 2 times back in 2004, from a manga. So, I don't feel so ridiculous. It was hard to make something "original" since there's a remarkable amount of custom Hunters around. :c

I've only seen blue ones, with a few orange or maybe green. There was one white a white hoodie with red stars that was absolutely flamingly gay. I was...concerned for all Hunter dignity. I may end up adding race stripes on the hood/back for kicks. The more I draw him, the even more ideas I get! @_@ Lol, thanks though.
I appreciate the honest. And respect the minor dislike in concept. I agree than fan-characters are an annoyance, which is why I've only had 1 & a half over almost 6 years. If I'm going to indulge in the fanart while practicing comics & human skills, I figure I toss out a personality to work with. :)

Well, the reason I had mentioned it was you stating your whole dislike for the thing, and it made me think, I'd probably be a hypocrite too if I got so into something I wanted to make it my own as well. Minor obsessions that make people squee is the recipe for fan-characters. I probably made a couple when I was younger too, but I don't remember. Maybe the only reason I don't have one now is because I'm too lazy to make one. xD
And yeah, I completely understand how it would help keep you motivated to draw and practice if you made it appeal to you more. :P
