A character I made of the species my friend created called False Wyverns! Pretty much, mammalians similar to wyverns that are more closely related to bats than reptiles. The bright colors mimic poisonous animals to trick predators into avoiding them for food and the eye spots on their wings help with chasing off rivals and predators. In short, they sneak their eggs into the nests of wyverns to be raised by them. Once the babies are old enough they develop the bright colors to avoid the wyvern parents eating or killing them and are kicked from the nest to live on as adults.
