Sir William Walton's "Crown Imperial" transcribed and performed by me. I transcribed it purely by ear and not by any sort of score, plus this is not the complete version yet, just a shorter, postlude version for after a church service. I have always loved this piece of music so naturally I was excited about playing it.

Well, transcription by ear, that's pretty astounding!
I don't think I could ever compliment your sop choices and playing enough, but I really did like listening to this! The applause wasn't nearly loud enough~
Say, there was a wonderful ringing stop at 2:06 (and a little while before that) that you hold for a bit, pray tell me which one it is, it really has a unique sound to it!

Well at 1:53 I add the Trumpet 4' from the Great which is a very loud reed, particularly when you do two full chords like I did. It is more reedy then the Oboe 8' of the Swell or the Trumpets 8' from the other organ, closer to a chamade trumpet (but those things are at times WAY too loud), so this Trumpet 4' while loud is still pretty alright. As for the applause you have to consider that normally people are already leaving or have left, so naturally the few that stay for the postlude after the last hymn are the ones who applaud heh.
Thank you for your kind comments as always, at times I wish I could come up with more to say to your pieces than just "great", I feel like that does not do them justice but I honestly can not come up with better things to say. In any case I just wanted to say that, that i really appreciate your comments always.
By the way if you haven't heard this piece before here it is for orchestra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zioo.....eature=related
For obvious reasons, it sounds a lot better with the orchestra.

Yes, I can imagine that trumpet stops (of any kind) must really be used for that "oomph" to the volume~ wonderful to know how loud these instruments can be, I'd think that they'd be built so that they aren't too overpowering, but I guess that when you really need to push everything, then too loud becomes okay, a bit like one or two trumpets really stand out, but if you have ten or twenty the sound becomes much more amalgamated with everything and less "piercing" in a way~
But I meant that stop (or combination of stops) at 2:06, that sounds like a triangle being struck or something, I'm not sure!
You're more than welcome and you really do deserve them! As for me, I just want to know who heard the music (so even a "blank" comment is welcome, just so I know who pressed play!). I don't think I actually come up with anything better than great either, I always hesitate to press that add reply button, but then I realize that I like receiving comments, no matter how small, so others may as well!
I think I heard this piece before, quite important if I remember correctly, used for the queen's coronation!
Of course orchestras are much fuller, but I have heard one performance in particular (a theatre organ) which sounded amazing, I may have to fish it out again, it really did give the impression of a small orchestra and choir!

Oh, and that fellow above my first comment might have meant that the way you played it evokes a medieval feel, though I do not agree (as medieval music sounds nothing like this~), I guess that "grand organ music" is commonly associated with times long past, even if all grandiose music for organ has actually only been written in the last two hundred years~
