This is the prologue and the introduction to a story I started working on with an assignment in my creative writing class over a year and a half ago. It's called the Legend of Sage and it's one of the few ideas I have for hard Fantasy, we're talking outright midevil magic and whatnot. This is the actual work I would be using for the novel.

As I said, age doesn't always mean that something isn't good, and I liked this! I'll admit I would have liked a bit more elaboration in terms of setting, but that's just my personal opinion, and I can see that it would slow the pace of the story down, which I think would harm the prologue. Apart from that, I found the story intriguing, and I really liked how you framed things using the song of a bard. I'm actually writing something similar in structure right now, so I may be a little biased!
Anyway, to reiterate I really enjoyed this, and I'm looking forward to reading more of your work soon, work permitting! =)
