With a textbook in one hand, and her druidic magics in the other, Ellen aims to make her mark on Azeroth as more than a simple keeper of the natural world. She aims to learn of its workings through scientific study, and in doing so help bring about about an understanding of Life on more than just a philosophical level.
At times, though, it has put her at odd with some of her fellow druids, given that she is more prone to questioning untested understandings of the laws and magics that govern the green realms. Some say to her that her attempts at understanding things in such a scientific fashion leave no room for the more ethereal and mystical aspects of their art, and make her more worldly-focused woman than a spiritual. Without hesitation, she rebuts such statements, saying that understanding things on a more fundamental level helps her feel closer with the very forces that made things the way they are.
Though often times, her pursuit of knowledge and understanding takes her down paths she must keep secret from others. There are many aspects to the forces of Life and Nature, some of which they have contended with as enemies. Yet she still sees them worthy of study, if only so she can know how better to work against them, should they become an enemy once more. The Nightmare. Death. Such thing are looked upon with disdain by other druids, and yet they are still connected in their own ways to the energies the rest of her order wields. Research such as this is done in secrecy, with every step taken being measured and careful. She has seen what these powers can do when taken to their unbalanced extremes. She believes, though, that there can still be a balance even with these other forces. Sun and Moon, Life and Death, Dream and Nightmare. Ellen only hopes that she can help her allies understand this some day... hopefully before they cast her out.
This lovely piece was made by
PotionMasterCernun as a more complete vision of her ideal look.
I've always loved the look of the Tier 9 druid armor, though the shoulder pieces were always a bit turtle-like and unwieldy to me. The robe itself is absolutely lovely, and PMC did a great job bringing it to life, as well as Ellen yet again. Check them out when you can!
