I've had dreams take the format of a game I've been playing extensively, before. I'd hate to be those girls, right now; I imagine their dreams might be similar, all Tetris-y.

That's a real thing, seeing Tetriminos all over the place after playing Tetris for too long. The 'Tetris Effect', they call it -- pretty interesting stuff.

I can definitely say I experienced it.

As have I, though admittedly not from Tetris over-exposure. The broader Game Transfer Phenomenon tends to kick in after I spend too long on any one game -- the first time, I was looking up at the white ceiling panels over a long queue after binging Portal 2, and found myself thinking about the best places to pop portals to circumvent the slow-moving line I was stuck in.

Once you click into the method of thinking for a specific game or genre, it takes a while for it to un-click.
