Since I uploaded my other image of a model car I customized, I remembered another one I did.
Well, to start it off, I used to own a 1987 Ford Thunderbird TurboCoupe. The car was named Wench, because it was fairly rough looking, but very fiesty, and very comfy on the inside (wink wink) It was fun, very fun. A real beast. 4cyl, turbocharged, boosting 18psi, and putting out over 200hp. It was grand, but in many ways, it was a real hassle to own. Sold it at 250k miles, when the rear main blew, and the heater core did, too.
Well, I discovered a model of the exact car I owned, so I went and bought it, and made it. I first made it as per the box exactly, but it felt so fake, shiny and empty under the hood. So... I got flat black, and rust paint, and went to town. I turned the model into an exact reproduction of my car, down to the faded off paint on the hood, the rusted out rear quarter panels, and I set to town under the hood, making every single wire that I could think of, and added components that were left out, such as the rest of the master cylinder, the clutch cylinder, the computer controls, and the fan shroud with EPA labels.
Top it off with a lot of clutter on the interior, and some dirt, and it's good to go!
But, yeah, like my previous model submission, there is a LOT of fabrication and "above and beyond" work that was put into this beyond what the model kit allowed. So once more, with the extensive modification, I'd say it's good with the AUP.
(And yes, I know the tires are rotating the wrong direction)

as much as it hurts me to see a nice ride like a T-bird worn down that much, I got to applaud you on your weathering and dirt work! ^^
dunno if any of the wires are wrong, the few times I could look under a modern US vehicle's hood there werw a lot of lines, electric and vacuum... one day I exchanged a chevy van's thermostate. a work for maybe, then minutes all in all? I stood there for half-an-hour trying to re-fit all the vac lines which broke off because they had become stiff and fragile like hell. :P

You need to live closer so that we can work on our cars/motorcycles together and then I will drag you to the gym and we can lift weights together! ^.^
