Eloria walked along the rows of caravans and tents in search of Angelos. Today was his first weekend off and he had something special he wanted to share with her. Coincidentally, Eloria had time off too. Whether Angelos was aware of her empty schedule or not, Eloria looked forward to spending time with him. Slipping on her travelling boots and a bright, sleeveless dress she bought with her wages, the Elf went to visit her dragon.
The alley of mobile domiciles gave way to an expansive lake stretching towards the distant mountains. Eloria stopped and took in the vista with a gasp of awe. As far as campsites went, there was nowhere better to park a caravan.
"Eloria, you're here," came Angelos's deep timbre.
Eloria was greeted by a pleasing sight as she turned to face him. Wearing only his boots and trousers, Angelos's powerful muscles glistened with sweat in the summer sunlight. Hefting a massive log over his shoulder, Eloria didn't have to guess how he worked up that sweat.
"I promised i would be," she said, walking towards him, arms behind her back.
Angelos drew up to Eloria and kissed her slowly on the mouth. Eloria fell into the kiss, unable to withstand the dragon's allure. He knew exactly how to destroy Eloria's defenses and, although she wouldn't admit it, she enjoyed being at Angelos's mercy.
"What do you want to show me, my silver drake?" she asked, after breaking the kiss. "You were very excited about it."
Angelos gestured towards a dip in the plain, towards the wooden skeleton of a house.
"Over here," he said, sauntering off towards the scaffolding.
Eloria followed.
"What is that?" she asked, allowing Angelos to drape his free arm over her shoulder.
"The village hall," he stated. "I called a meeting about the future of our community and we decided to settle here and put down roots. We've been wandering for years, but now that's thankfully over. From now on, we'll conduct village business here."
Eloria's heart leaped. "You're staying? That's a huge decision. I can imagine there was some resistance to the idea."
"Absolutely," Angelos admitted, stopping on the ridge. "But that doesn't matter. If it means i'm close to you, i'll whether their ire."
Eloria leaned against Angelos's chiseled chest and said, "There's nothing i'd want more."
After a long, warm embrace, Angelos said, "Come, i'll introduce you to the other residents. I'm sure they'd love to meet you."
"Lead the way," Eloria smiled.
