Done for the one-and-only
RGibson, who is the pillar of patience. A long time ago she commissioned me to do a piece for one of her multi-artist Jack Salem comics/books ( which was published at some point? Where's mah copy? ;) ). Anyway, it took me about 2 years to produce something. Normally that isn't my typical turn-around, but she was one of my few "gods" in the fandom, and everything I drew up just didn't seem worthy enough. I still have several sketches lying around somewhere, from several different scenes in the story, which I eventually scrapped and tried something else. What I eventually ended up handing over to her I'm still not entirely happy with.
So I decided a few years ago to make an ink piece of Jack Salem for her. It got lost at some point years ago, and I recently found it while digging thru a closet in my old bedroom at my parent's house, so I finished it up, and voila.
I consider myself primarily a sketch artist, and I feel like sometimes, messy sketches have more character, and that some of it gets lost in the inking and coloring phases, so I have a habit of leaving my sketch lines in, like in this piece.
So here's Jack...dragging around a dead body.
