I thought of giving Tetsu a better send-off than https://www.furaffinity.net/view/37945484/ .
This is Tetsu, my robosona (robot + fursona), an android leopard (not cheetah). I've typed that more times than I can count but I guess I don't mind one last time.
I never really saw myself as total furry. I still don't. That despite how I identify myself as somewhat feline (and not just because I love cats) and despite how I find some anthropomorphic artwork so hot. I am, however, robosexual/technosexual and the intersection of furries and androids (and some fringe elements of bdsm) was pretty much my only hook into the furry sphere and remains my only interest.
I "created" (if that's how you call it) Tetsu as my robosona back when I was high on that intersection. There were times when my mind and my drawing hand surprised me with the results whenever I drew him. If you were the superstitious/religious/spiritual sort, you could almost say it was fated.
But Tetsu was inspired by certain events and people. He was conceptualized for a specific world/setting and maybe that was wrong. As I try to distance my self from those, I've found it impossible to disassociate Tetsu from his origins. I could simply "rewrite" his origin story, but the association and the memories are still there, both the good and the bad.
Long story short, it's impossible for me to look at or even think of Tetsu without bringing those all up over and over again. So I'm pretty much "retiring" him indefinitely. Maybe someday I've healed and matured enough to disassociate him with the past, but until that happens, the robot is being decommissioned until further notice. And so is my involvement here and with this circle I've never really been a part of anyway. I'm keeping the account open and visible, in case someone someday stumbles upon it and discovers something in them, like I did while browsing FA years ago.
P.S. Not even sure why I bother typing all of this down but, eh, closure.

Hey there friend, it's good to hear from you and see Tetsu again even for one last time and get a better send off as you said.
Thank you for explaining as well and it's good to know when to bow out, I respect that. I hope you continue to make any kind of amazing art as this piece is well done! And yes maybe one day he can come back. Until then see you around! ^.=.^
