
Just because Ink happens to be a futuristic kitty-bot doesn't mean he doesn't get hungry. Digitizing the contents of someone's brain is super simple, and everything left behind can be converted into more hardware to expand the kitty's capabilities.
The stored critter can be placed in a secure simulated environment. There you can interact with them, customize their data a little, or even play games with them. Ink can either keep them (whether as digipets or simply stored away) or transfer them elsewhere. Some critters have wound up in new bodies, whilst others have been attached to emails, accidentally uploaded to VR chats... let's not try to dwell too much on what might happen to Saorsan >3>
