The first chapter of my series with my characters. These sets of chapters are going to involve my two characters Aile and Alexsis and the events that lead to this picture: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/12495062/ (note story in the picture will change to match the story). Sadly there is no shrinking yet in this chapter but the next chapter will not fail in that theme. This is pretty much to set up a fuller backstory to Aile and Alexsis past and how they became friends as well as how they joined the foundation included as well is some story for my interpretation of the Gullivers travels lore set in a more futuristic setting as well as how another nation of lilliputians and how they might have lived under a god of sorts.

I will try to work on the second chapter of this story and get it out as soon as I can. Until then please give it a read and drop comments are much appreciated.

This is also my first timedoing storywriting so I am open for help and suggestions from other storytellers so don't hesitate to note me if you want to give me tips for this story and future story content. I do need help on how to make the story picture description.

Size Artifact and Technology Hunting, Investigation, and Research

Cephalon Team Chapter One:
Discovery of Other Islands and an Ancient Weaponized Artifact.

Date - April 20th, 2034
Location - Middle of the Ocean between Pulau Bangkauluand Island and Makassar, Indonesia
Team - Cephalon Team
Members - Aile Kresnik and Alexsis Souldew

A large treasure ship Sails the ocean heading towards a destination for two of its clients. On the side looking out to the Ocean a female brown-furred libbit female with long lopped ears, a long lion-like tail, with tan hair with an orange highlight, and standing at 5'5" looking at her phone and reading an email to herself, "Hey Aile, I know it has been a while since you and Alexsis left America for your special job. I wish you two luck on your search for this new rumor of the other island in the Gulliver books. I am doing fine myself. I am starting my new job in a special team with Casey and Rei, two girls I worked with before and we are about to start our first mission. The only info I know about is we are going after a scientist who is making black market sales on some new weapon. I hope after both our missions and you and Alexsis get back to America, we can head to the bar and catch up and you can meet my team members.

Aile turns the phone off and gives a smile as she feels the ship slowing down.
"Hey Aile!", called a voice from behind. Aile turns to see her yellow lizard/dragon hybrid partner Alexsis. Alexsis is of a smaller build fit for her nerdy nature standing at about 5'1" with short white hair, and red eyes, The boats at its destination, we should suit up and get to the explorer DPVs." Aile nods and walks with Alexsis to the cabins to get changed. In the cabins, the two start changing into their scuba gear. After Aile puts on her black and pink spring suit and zips up the back, she turns to Alexsis, So what did the Boss say about this island we are diving for? Alexsis gets her spring suit full black with light blue design and turns to the libbit. "Well the location that we are looking for is the other island that was supposed to be a tad farther from Lilliput, Blefuscu was the name I think. From the books recovered on Lilliput, Blefuscu was the other part of the nation of Lilliput but was a separate island further out despite what is said in the Gulliver books of it being one full small nation of tiny people with both islands connected. Blefuscu was at war with the Lilliputians and had their own artifacts as well using the same magic but the rumor was that it was more potent than that of the normal relics found. Our mission is the find this sunken city and find the artifact there as well as any more pieces of lore and hopefully maps of other trade islands." Aile nods, "That's interesting, cannot wait to get down there and find stuff. Maybe find other treasures as well. Let's got to the DPV garage." Alexsis nods in agreement and the two get their bags and head to the bottom of the treasure ship where the DPV garage was.

Aile and Alexsis have been friends since childhood with Aile being an Orphan not even knowing who her mother or father and being adopted into a middle-class family of rabbits. Due to her Libbit heritage which is a more exotic race of cabbits she is a pretty athletic girl and is the adventurous type who enjoys exploring. Alexsis is a Lizard dragon born into a high-class family due to her dragon lineage. She has a high IQ and enjoys taking machines apart and tinkering with a funny goal in life of one day inventing a size ray. Rather than homeschooling, her parents decided to put her in public normal schools to help her get over her introverted self and get out of her fantasy world. The two met in Elementary school while Alexsis was getting picked on and Aile came to save her and after the event, the two have become best friends always doing adventures where Aile would take Alexsis out to abandoned places and into the woods while Alexsis took the opportunity to add old scrap and electronics to her collection to further her tinkering. Upon the two hitting the age of 18 and graduating, Aile was sent a letter from a benefactor of her mother where she inherited a fortune with her mother's journal. After that Alexsis went to college to study tech while Aile, after reading her mothers journal and finding out about how her mother was a tomb raider and a treasure hunter of sorts and how she was a part of the hunt for Gulliver's treasures and she was placed in an orphanage to protect her from her mother's enemies, so Aile set out to carry on her mothers legacy in hopes that she can one day find her mother.

Years later Aile and Alexsis met up again where Alexsis became a fantastic inventor in robotics and other machines and achieved part of her dream by making a concept of a size device, Aile became an expert treasure hunter but to no avail found out anything about her mother, their accomplishments drew the attention of S.A.T.H.I.R. and became recruited to start their own subgroup within the foundation as per the agreement that the two would only work together by themselves and any recruits would be recruited by themselves. After the island of Lilliput discovery, and everything already was taken except for a manuscript that was under the ruins of the tiny church on the island, headquarters examination of the manuscript they found out that the neighboring island of Blefuscu and the truth of that nation. For a month the two were stationed in Indonesia until they got the ok from the heads.

The two get to the DPV garage inside is a few garage workers mainly a set of male canines and a couple of felines mixed in where two vehicles that look like bikes but instead of wheels, they have a propeller on the back where the whole vehicle is modeled around with the front built to go overhead so the driver is protected from anything on the front while the sides have nothing surrounding allowing divers to easily enter and exit them. Alexsis goes to check the DPV while Aile went to check their gear. Aile made sure their waterproof bags included flashlights, their work tablets, their grapple hooks, and other items they may need below as well as checked the air tanks to make sure they were both filled and operable. After checking to see if everything checks out, Aile puts on her gear and take Alexsis hers walking over to her to see her talking to one of the garage workers in Indonesian the worker speaking fully while Alexisis speaking slowly as she reads her translator on the display on her glasses. After the conversation, Alexsis turns to Aile as Aile hands her gear, Thanks I take everything is in working order Aile? she says as she starts to put the bag and tank on. Aile smiles at her partner and gives a nod, Yeah everything is in order everything ok with the DPVs? All green let us go ahead and dive down, Alexsis answers back. And with that, the two get the rest of their flippers and masks on and climb on their DPVs.
The two dive down and drive the DPVs towards the location indicated on the hud of the DPVs display radar. The deeper they go the darker it gets causing them to turn on their lights. As they near the destination the sight of sunken ruins is seen. As they hover over they notice that all the buildings while ruined, were the size of dollhouses. Alexsis speaks on the com in her mask, wow look at these tiny buildings Aile I feel like a giant dragon flying over and laying destruction upon everything below me! Alright, time to set the beacon for headquarters to check out you go ahead and scout ahead. Aile notices Alexsis going to the bottom and getting out of her DPV and getting a location beacon, setting it down, and working on turning it on. As she works Aile drives ahead and keeps skimming the ruins for any cave-like structures to explore. As she skims a large mountain that looks normal to her amongst the tiny villages surrounding it. She notices tiny holes about 4 feet in width which is too small for the DPVs to get into here and there along the bottom. Getting to the other side, she notices a large hole on the side that looks like it widened during the sinking as well as over the years which is large enough for the DPVs to enter. As she discovers it Alexsis catches up, oh great you found a good-sized entrance for the DPVs to enter let's go inside.

The two drive through the large cave entrance and after about a few minutes of steering around the cave formations, the two reach a surfacing area in the water at the end of what looks like normal-sized stairs. The two surface, exit their dpvs, and swim to land. Inside the cave looked like a worshipping hall filled with small buildings lining the hallway looking still intact but long deserted. The two take off their masks and other diving gear and walk down the hallway. Alexsis excitingly looking through each building like a kid in a toy store, Oh my god Aile look at all the tiny houses with tiny furniture with tiny skeletons inside! she calls out excitedly. Aile looks through one of the windows of the small buildings and sees what looks like a living room with some wooden furniture, tiny books, and in the corner is the skeletal remains of a couple of canines by the looks of it standing about 4 or so inches tall holding each other readying themselves for their final moments as the island sunk before the ceiling collapsed on them. Odd they were safely in this cave and you would think that some would remain. Starvation maybe for those lucky not to get crushed or the seismic activity is too great for their tiny forms maybe? Wondered Aile as the two continued down the hall. Who knows, acknowledged Alexsis, I did find some books here and there in the buildings. these might help us find out what happened, she says as she puts a handful of books inside of a ziplock bag and places it into her bag as the two continued down the hall.

At the end of the hall, they enter a large room and everything from what they have seen so far seems to 180 on them. The items in the room looked normal size. A large dining table with some small ladders fallen over nearby was on the left side with old dining ware and utensils scattered about, some tiny rows of dining tables lining the right side of the room, with normal-sized candlestands fallen over with a large throne in the center of the room and a normal-sized door to its right. Well this is different, said Aile in astonishment. Yeah from what it looks like the giant to these people was treated like a god of sorts from the looks of this rooms setup, said Alexsis. I am gonna investigate this room to see if I can find anything, Aile can you check what's through that door?

Aile walks towards the door and pushes lightly on it just to see that it's stuck due to how old the door is. After using some force pushing the door with her body, the door finally gives way and she catches herself before she falls to the ground after the door gave way. She looks up and finds she is inside of a normal-sized bedroom with a bookshelf lined with a good few books with some fallen to the ground, a nightstand, desk, and a bed with a skeletal of a feline individual, unlike the tiny skeletal remains of this one is normal-sized. Upon further inspection, a book and quill pen lied next to the body while the skeletal hand was grasping an idol. Carefully grabbing the idol, Aile inspects the item which looks like a stone ring with gold fastenings surrounding a red gem on a stone stand. Aile looks at the bottom and sees an inscription chiseled at the bottom reading "In the suns light of the statue facing at your enemies will bring them down closer to the earth, In the Moo...", Hmm the rest is faded out, said Aile to herself. So this was the weapon they used against their attackers? She places the idol inside of her bag and picks up the book beside the body and skims through some of the pages to see that this book is a journal of our dead friend here. She places the book into her bag as well and looks at the bookshelf to see some history books, stories, etc. She notices some titles as available books like they were shipped here or came with this guy. Then she notices two books next to each other with bookmarks in them one titled "The Artifacts of Lilliput" and the other "The Tools of Brobdingnag". Aile grabs those books as well and she exits the chamber and back into the hall.

Upon entering the hall Alexsis is placing a bundle of what looks like four pieces of a staff inside of her bag and zipping it up turning to Aile. You found anything of interest in the room Aile? she asks inquisitively. Yeah, I found an idol and a small book collection with our apparent god of the island from the looks of it got his journal and two interesting reads for you, Aile says with a smile. Alexsis checks her watch, Look at the time we should head back to the boat and head back to our place to go over what we found, she says looking disappointed. Aile pats her friend on the shoulder, don't worry if you want we can ask HQ to allow us to lead the search on this place after we get back. Think about it like this, we are the first ones to find this place at least and secured an item or two, as well as a sneak peek at some of the lore of this island through the books we found. That perked Alexsis right up and went back to her eccentric self again. You are right Aile lets get back before the Bear of a captain tries to charge us for taking too long.

The two get back to the entrance to the cave, put on their diving gear, get to the water, and drive the DPVs back through the cave. At the entrance, Alexsis places another beacon and activates it before the two drive back to the ship. As they surface into the DPV garage, they park the vehicles to their respective claws which surrounded the vehicles and they got out and climbed onto the ramp. As they took off their diving gear, the two were met with the captain. The Captain was a large bear with an eyepatch over his scarred left eye and scruffy beard wearing the typical captain's clothing to greet them. He is one of the few on the ship that speaks any English as he speaks, So ladies get yea little ghosties and found any sunken ships down there? Alexsis looking to the captain as she adjusted her back over her shoulder, sadly not a single ship down there nor anything of what we could get of the rumors that we heard old man but we did find some seashells and a couple of cool fish if you want to see, she says as she starts showing the camera to the captain. The captain looking disappointed at no chance of any treasures and feels that his time and resources were wasted but not angry waved his hand dismissively, you are fine I guess best to check just in case since the looting of that other island with tiny houses, we missed out chance at that haul. But never hurts to try to discover new things. Go ahead and head to your cabins and get cleaned up ladies for we are about to sail back to port.

With the captain's dismissal, Alexsis and Aile packed their equipment and walked up the stairs and out of the garage and towards their cabins. Wow, Alexsis you sure learned how to act like your typical normal girl. Did you learn that in college as well? Aile asks teasingly. Alexsis giggles, well I didn't learn all that from college more than from my best friend. Let us split up and go back to our cabins. I'll send you a video-chat invite when I get into contact with HQ so we can report and then I am going to shower off this seawater afterward. And with that, the two split up to go to their cabins.
